Assorted bagels and pastries in the atrium of the primary conference location, the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons (CULC). If you will be presenting a poster later in the day, you can bring your poster and set-up during breakfast.
8:30am – 9:45am, Plenary Talk by Dr. Zelda Gills

Coffee break in the CULC atrium. Attendees who are giving talks should go to the auditorium and test out their technology connection at the beginning of this coffee break.
4pm – 5:30pm, Student Talks Session

5:30pm – 6:30pm, Student Poster Session

Plenary Talk in the CULC auditorium. Dr. Bracco’s bio can be found here. Her talk will discuss her journey as a woman in physics and her current research in Climate and Ocean Dynamics.
9pm – 11:30pm, Optional Emory University Social Event
This is a limited capacity social event. If you answered on the pre-arrival survey that you were interested, you were additional contacted with a sign up. Only conference attendees who have signed up for this event can attend. There will be bus transportation to the event. The buses will picking up in front of the CULC and will drop off at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. Buses leaving from Emory will be at 10:30pm, 10:45pm, and then final call at 11:30pm. If you are commuting to the conference AND have signed up for this event, you can drive directly to Emory. This social event will include lab tours, an ice cream social, and an observatory and/or planetarium showing.
8:45pm – 10pm, Optional Karaoke Social Event + Touch the Moon and Mars
Karaoke and snacks at CULC 144. There will also be moon and mars rocks for attendees to see/touch.
